What is AppiWorks Clockify × Zoho Books?

AppiWorks Clockify × Zoho Books is a Clockify add-on that connects your Clockify workspace with Zoho Books. Once you connect a Zoho Books account and switch on the actions you need, AppiWorks keeps both sides aligned in the background, so there is no manual export and no re-entering invoices.

Setup Configuration

After the add-on is installed from the CAKE.com Marketplace, open your Clockify workspace.
Find AppiWorks — Clockify × Zoho Books in the add-ons section of the sidebar.
Click on it to open the settings page.
At the top you will see the Status (for example, Connected) and your current Plan (for example, Pro).

Connect Zoho Books

In the Zoho Books connection section, click Choose Connection.
Select an existing Zoho Books connection from your workspace, or create a new one.
Use the pencil icon to edit the selected connection.
Use the red bin icon to delete it.
No separate Clockify connection is needed. The add-on runs inside Clockify, so it is already authorized.

Choose the Clockify actions to sync

In the Clockify actions section, turn on the actions you need. Each action has its own Zoho Books module binding.

Automated Invoicing on approval
Automatically creates and sends Zoho Books invoices from Clockify time entries once they are approved for billing on the matching project.
Copy Invoice to Zoho Books
Copies invoices generated inside Clockify into Zoho Books invoices, for accounting and reconciliation.
Coming soon in the Enterprise plan
Sync Time Entries to Zoho Books
Sends Clockify time entries to Zoho Books project timesheets, including edits and deletions, mapped by project, task and user.
Sync Expenses to Zoho Books
Imports Clockify expenses into Zoho Books and keeps the billable flag, so they can be added to client invoices.
Post Labor Cost for Approved Timesheets
When a timesheet is approved in Clockify, posts the labor cost to Zoho Books as a journal entry for job costing and payroll inputs.

Save and activate

Turn on the actions you want.
Click Save settings.
Your changes take effect straight away, and the add-on keeps syncing in the background.

Example: Automated invoicing

Track time in Clockify against a billable project.
Approve the time entries for billing.
The add-on creates the invoice in Zoho Books and sends it.
Open Zoho Books → Invoices to verify. The new invoice appears there.
